THE PLAY FOR LIFE AUCTION FOR CITY OF HOPE

In 2011, forty artists, producers and directors came together to support the first ever Play For Life Auction in aid of City Of Hope cancer research.

From Justin Bieber to Linkin Park, Florence Welch to Oliver Stone, Taylor Swift to Yoko Ono, all genres were covered in an all-star auction, which offered numerous opportunities to meet participating artists, and enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences. The nationwide event was supported by Clear Channel Radio, who donated a $4.5 million on-air and online advertising campaign to promote City Of Hope and the auction to their millions of listeners.

Confirming his support for the programme, ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison said: “The power that music holds to impact people emotionally, spiritually and physically never ceases to amaze me. That’s why I’m so thrilled to partner with Clear Channel and City Of Hope on Play For Life to support music therapy for cancer patients and their families”.
