First Look: Death Cab For Cutie

Death Cab For Cutie

Rock band Death Cab For Cutie have pioneered a whole new method of  filming a music video, nailing the first ever “live, scripted, single-take” shot for their anthemic new single ‘You Are A Tourist’ in record time.

From close observation of the panoramic vid, which comes complete with neon light shows and glitzy formation dancers, it seems that a lot could’ve gone wrong. But with a day of careful rehearsals, and a dash of good old fashioned luck, they’ve really pulled it off. Watch it here on Death Cab’s official YouTube channel, and see if you agree.

This represents the first new material from the band since they appeared on the ‘Twilight: New Moon’ soundtrack record in 2009 with epic track ‘Meet Me On The Equinox’. The song is taken from the top of their new album ‘Codes and Keys’, which is set for release in May.
